Fire Up the Grill: Our Favorite Cuts for Your Fourth of July Cookout 🇺🇸
The Fourth of July has always been one of my favorite holidays. It’s simple: good food, cold drinks, and a reason to slow down and gather with the people you love. Around here, the grill is the centerpiece — and there’s just something special about knowing exactly where your beef came from.
Whether you're hosting the whole neighborhood or just grilling out with family, here are a few of our go-to cuts for summer grilling — all raised right here on our family ranch, the way beef should be.
🥩 1. Ribeyes — The Classic Crowd-Pleaser
If you want to win the grill game this Independence Day, start with a well-marbled ribeye. Ours are grass-fed and grain-finished, which means you get that rich, beefy flavor with a beautiful balance of tenderness and juiciness.
Quick Cooking Tip:
Let it come to room temp, season generously with salt and pepper, and grill over high heat for 4–5 minutes per side. Let it rest for 10 minutes and serve with a pat of butter on top (trust me).
🐮 2. Skirt Steak — Perfect for Feeding a Crowd
Skirt steak is thin, flavorful, and fast-cooking, which makes it perfect for fajitas, steak sandwiches, or slicing up for salads and tacos. It’s a budget-friendly cut that still feels special.
Quick Cooking Tip:
Marinate it for a few hours in lime juice, garlic, and olive oil, then sear hot and fast. Slice against the grain for maximum tenderness.
🍔 3. Ground Beef — The Star of the Backyard Burger
Don’t underestimate the power of a great burger. Our ground beef is single-sourced, dry-aged, and never mixed with filler — just 100% high-quality beef with unbeatable flavor.
Burger Build Idea:
Toasted brioche bun, cheddar cheese, grilled onions, and a swipe of spicy mayo. Add a slice of tomato if you're feeling fancy.
🔥 4. NY Strip Steaks — Bold Flavor with a Patriotic Sizzle
NY Strips are leaner than ribeyes but still pack a punch when it comes to flavor. They’re easy to cook and look beautiful served on a platter — ideal for your red, white, and beef BBQ.
Quick Cooking Tip:
Sear over high heat, 3–4 minutes per side. Add rosemary and butter in the last minute for an herby finish.
A Few Bonus Tips for Your Holiday Cookout:
-
Thaw frozen beef safely in the fridge for 24–48 hours (never on the counter!).
-
Let your meat rest after grilling so juices can redistribute.
-
Don’t forget a cooler of cold drinks, good company, and gratitude for those who’ve served. That’s what it’s all about.
